Hello 2010!

Yes, 2010 is now upon us and I want to wish everyone a wonderful New Year!

I'm going to be starting off strong in my business with a nomination on VancouverMom.ca's 30 Essential Jewellery Designers List! Thankyou to Christine from 'VancouverMom' and Sue from 'Raspberry Kids' for the suggestion and nomination!

I'm also working on a new line of jewelry that will bring more 'bling and sparkle' into the new year! I bought myself a great new camera so that I can take some amazing pictures of my collection. The pictures is where you get to see all my hard work on my website and facebook, so I want to capture all the details and beauty in my pieces!

Christmas is around the corner!

Another month has past and I was just reading my last post that we were having a whole bunch of sunshine back then! Ha, now it's been raining for the past 22 days out of 24, yes believe it, that's what the weather man said!

Well, I've been real busy with trade shows and fairs with my jewelry this month. I have a 3 day show this weekend at an Arts Center in Port Coq. that I'm excited to be in. Then 2 more weekends and a home party booked and that shall be the last for this year! I am delivering a fresh, large order to "Raspberry Kids" tommorrow with 2new colours in the long style necklace. (click on my Raspberry Kids icon on the right)

I am looking forward to setting up my Christmas decor next week (I'm usually all done by now) and then having a few small parties to bring on the Christmas cheer!

I'm always surprised how quick the months go by after summer is all done!

Beautiful Fall

Wow, Mother Nature has been soooooo nice to us here in the Vancouver Area! We have had wonderful Fall weather. Beautiful sun, and now you can feel Fall in the air, with crisp nights and mornings!

Thanksgiving was just this past weekend and everyone I chatted with had good days and all are 'stuffed' with turkey!

My home is full of Fall Decor, which is my favourite season. We just recently painted our front room, living room a gorgeous golden yellow. Boy it sure is a perfect backdrop colour for all the shades of oranges and browns in my displays! I love it!

I was a vendor at our local "Fort Langley Cranberry Festival" that happened on Sat. Oct. 10 and met some really nice people there. Had a wonderful day, the weather was great with wind gusts that blew over some tarps, but other than that, Perfect!

The rest of this month is filled with a few kids' birthdays to attend and my daughters '4th Birthday' coming up. Then Halloween, and prepping for 6 Christmas Fairs/Events in Nov. So I'm just busily designing new pieces for my BLUSH Designs Collection.

The End of Summer '09

Oh my, the end of Summer 2009 already. What a fabulous summer it was! We had soooo much sun, which gave us so many options of things to do.

We stayed busy with quading & camping in June, then summer camps for the kids, I was doing a festival with my Jewelry every other weekend! We also managed to get in beach days, park days, lots of pool days, the 'PNE'! Man it was fun!

However 'Back To School' means Fall, my most favourite season! It also means routines, cozier clothes (which I love), after-school activities (Beavers for my son, and Ballet for my daughter). I'm already booking up some Christmas Craft Fairs, and Home Jewelry Partys for the months ahead!

I'm not ready to give up the summer, but I am looking forward to the Fall and all the pretty colours (if the weather is good= Sun on the orange, red, & yellow leaves, BEAUTIFUL) Last years Autumn was great, lots of sun & not much rain, so the leaves stayed on the trees a long time! You could go for a walk in the brisk morning, then have a picnic with your sweater off, the kids could play at the playground and I would collect fallen leaves!

Here's to a Fabulous Fall, and to many more sunny days!

Raspberry Kids has teamed up with our great friends spud! organic home food delivery for a back to school night of shopping & a chance to meet some of our amazing local suppliers!

15% of sales during this evening are being donated to Growing Chefs which is a foundation that is a non-profit society that unites chefs, growers, educators and community members in a food sustainability project.

The evening will include many of our incredible local suppliers including Karen from Po Po's Ponchos, Lorraine from Redfish Kids, Christine from BLUSH Designs Jewelry & Liz from Cici Art Factory. In addition to these incredible designers/artists, we will also have a large selection of other Made in Canada products as well as organic & eco-friendly items to choose from.

spud! will be offering tours of their facility located at 1660 E. Hastings and providing light refreshments for all to enjoy.

"BLUSH Designs Jewelry" at the Blueberry Festival in Cloverdale, BC

Well I'm getting all prepped for tommorrow! I have a booth at the "6th Annual Blueberry Festival & Car Show and Shine" in Downtown Cloverdale.

Cloverdale Blueberry Festival and the Arts Council of Surrey present a Craft Fair with an assortment of wonderful craft-makers with their delightful crafts. We will be set up in the Surrey Musuem Plaza.

Also across the street is a "Family Fun Zone" with Blueberry Pie Eating Contests, Bouncy Castles, Mini Golf, and BMX Stunt Shows.

Come on out for a day of fun! Be sure to stop by my booth and say 'Hello'!

A very HOT Day

Hi there,

So I live in Cloverdale, BC and we're having a stinking HOT Heat Wave allllll this week! ARGH..... It got up to 33 yesterday and even hotter today they say, maybe like 35!

So we hung out at a great outdoor pool yesterday and it was awesome! Today, I'm doing the 'computer stuff', getting caught up on emails, twitter, blog, website, etc.

I think I'll take the kiddies to the local mall and stay in the air-condition for the afternoon. Do some end-of-season shopping and have an ice-cream!

Hope your day isn't as Hot as mine!

PS. The HoneyBee Festival I did on the weekend, was awesome! Had many sales, met new friends & seen some old ones, and saw very brave people having a BEE Beard put all over them!

Hi all,

I am packing up all my unique jewelry because "BLUSH Designs Jewelry" will be at the 'HoneyBee Festival' this weekend July 25 & 26 from 10-4 both days!

There is a ton of fun stuff for the kids and a great 'Artisans Marketplace' for the parents to shop at. Of course delicious Honey and other goodies available.

So come on by, I love to meet new people, new locals, and Also you can see my unique collection up close and personal. Jewerly is one of those 'touchy, feely' things and it's OK to do so! They shimmer and shine in the sun and under lights, and ALL so different and beautiful!

Well my very first 'blog'.

Hello everyone!

This is exciting for me, my very first blog. So bare with me as I learn the lingo and figure out what to post on here.

I have started my own business "BLUSH Designs Jewelry" in Feb. 2009 and have had great success in many artisan fairs, home partys, wedding shows and getting unique collections in a local spa "Allbodylicious" and another exciting web shop............
